What people say

On my 63rd birthday, I was advised that I had ‘Parkinsons’, which would lead to slower, erratic movement, loss of balance and general stiffness. It was recommended I should participate in stretching exercises on a regular basis. A great friend recommended yoga…enter Sarah; now 6 years on, I am totally converted.

I always feel so much better after a yoga session, which is always ‘b*****’ hard work (but as they say, no pain no gain). The great thing about Sarah is that she will always encourage you to work harder and help you realise your potential, but most important of all is that we always have a laugh. I now can’t imagine life without yoga, long may it continue.

Sarah’s classes are transformative, invigorating and passionate. Prepare yourself to be inspired! You truly inspired me and the practice awakened me fully! Thanks so much Sarah!

I started yoga in my thirties when, even though I kept fit with several different sports, I realised I couldn’t touch my toes and also had some niggly back problems from an old injury! I discovered Iyengar yoga and after a couple of terms found myself in Sarah’s class. I continued going to her classes for more than seven years, all through my second pregnancy, under Sarah’s excellent and careful guidance, and through those early, tiring years with two small boys.

I became a lot more flexible and strong, my back problems disappeared and I could at last touch my toes!

My stress levels reduced and I looked forward to my class every week. Sarah is a wonderful teacher, always cheerful, encouraging and showed a great understanding of all our different body shapes. I would recommend Sarah’s classes to anyone and would still be going if we were in the same country! I wish her the best of luck with her new classes.

Sarah was my first yoga teacher and I can still remember my first class with her. I took to Sarah’s teaching style and Iyengar yoga immediately, soon I was attending classes regularly at Sarah’s teaching space. I found Sarah to be an excellent teacher; her classes were obviously well-planned, structured, varied, professional and always delivered with plenty of 1:1 adjustments.

I’ll never forget the calm and peace I felt after each class. I believe those first years of yoga teaching were the best I had.

Sarah is an expert yoga teacher and also has a tremendous ability to motivate her students. She works plenty of one-to-one attention into classes, and fine-tunes the practice to fit every student’s ability. She gets to know everybody’s quirks and injuries and finds ways around them. Although everything is slow, there is lots of physical effort, as well as concentration and laughs.

Every class leaves you with tired muscles and a clear mind. I started yoga in the hope of dealing with a lower back problem. Sarah’s classes gave me control over that, and much more.

I attended yoga with Sarah on and off for 3 years. Having attended numerous yoga classes in various cities I can honestly say I have never encountered someone who instilled in me such a love of yoga. Her classes were always run with a friendly and professional manner. Whether beginner or advanced, Sarah catered to everyone’s individual needs seamlessly and tailormade each class to ensure everyone got the best out of every second. She encouraged people to work at their maximum without ever pushing people too far. She was at all times approachable and guided me through a difficult pregnancy when I had SPD. Sarah was always available to discuss individual people’s needs and made suggestions as to how best enhance practice at home. I looked forward to every class and always came away with a great sense of well-being. I could not recommend Sarah highly enough as both a yoga teacher and a kind and caring lady who always wanted the best for her students.

I started yoga after injuring my back (herniated discs). I was looking for something to strengthen my core and improve my general flexibility, which wasn’t great. After trying a couple of different styles (and teachers) I’ve found a combination that works for me; slow and precise enough to allow me to get the most out of the poses with options so there’s something for everyone, whether beginner or advanced, male or female

Improved flexibility, doing things I never thought I or my body could do, a real sense of achievement, thoroughly enjoyable and time passes by in a flash, great diversity of people in the class, proving it really is for any size, shape or age. Every week there are new moves, shapes and exercises so it makes each week different and interesting and challenging. Sarah is a very professional teacher who is extremely knowledgeable and experienced in her work as well as being calm and patient. She comes round individually to each person to make sure their body is doing what it should and is in the right position. Even if you have an injury or back problem, Sarah will always know another position you could do to avoid any injury or pain – this is a rarity in a class environment and is more like a one to one. Such a pleasure and joy to be in her class and so glad I found her.

I have been doing yoga for 4 years now and have found after going to various other instructors that Sarah really does care about what she does and the students she teaches, she is brilliant. I have found that it helps hugely with my core strength and it has made me much more flexible over the years, it has also helped me to learn how to relax more. I can honestly say I could not do without it.
