Over 25 Years of Yoga Experience
Hi! My name is Sarah Toward and I am a fully qualified Iyengar yoga instructor. I have been practising yoga for over 25 years.
I gained my first qualification to teach Iyengar yoga in 2005, and continue to gain further qualifications, constantly striving to be the very best teacher I can be.
I have always loved being active: running, karate, circuit training, tennis, surfing, etc. Initially I thought yoga would be a bit too whimsical and ‘girly’ for me. And some styles of yoga are.
Unique teaching style
Having dabbled in pretty much all yoga styles, I finally found the attention to detail, sequencing and genius use of yoga blocks/bricks/belts within the Iyengar tradition provided the strong yoga practice which challenged me physically and left me wanting more.
I have had the joy of training with many of the world’s best teachers, each of whom has contributed to my unique teaching style.
I feel as strong, and move as easily, in my 40's as I did in my 20's. I’ve also found that yoga gives me what I need to cope with the stresses and strains of life.
