Accommodation is arranged in pretty converted farmhouses, with a range of rooms available. Each cottage has a shared kitchen, lounge, an outdoor seating area, BBQ and free wifi

With 12 hours of sunshine, and an average daily temperature of 24 degrees centigrade, August is the perfect month to visit the Algarve

 

There are 3 swimming pools on site and a large, air-conditioned, well-equipped yoga studio which opens out onto peaceful walled gardens. Yoga using wall ropes will be a new experience for many of you – I’m excited for you, it can help transform your yoga practise!

As a highly qualified Iyengar yoga teacher, with 25 years of experience, I combine precise and careful body alignment with a dynamic teaching style. Coupled with warmth and humour, this yoga holiday offers a fantastic learning experience with firm, skilful guidance in a supportive, caring atmosphere

Within walking distance to the beautiful village of Almancil, and 7km from stunning sandy beaches, for which the Algarve is famous for, the location is ideal. Transport with a friendly, English-speaking taxi driver, can be easily arranged, or you can hire a car when you book your flight. Bike rental is also available

How much yoga?

6x morning asana practises from 9am to 11am

4 x late afternoon restorative & pranayama practises from 5pm to 6.30pm

(this is your retreat/holiday – so you do as much or as little yoga as you like)

 

How much will the retreat cost?

Three price options are available, all prices are per person:

£715 sharing a dormitory

£790 sharing a twin room with ensuite shower/bath

£1,010 single occupancy of a twin room with ensuite shower/bath

What’s included?

7 x night’s accommodation, 6 x organic vegetarian brunches, 4 x 3-course vegetarian evening meals, 18 hours of yoga tuition and full use of all the yoga equipment

What’s excluded?

Airfares, travel/health insurance, car hire, transfers from/to Faro airport, wine, extra activities such as massage, horse riding, surfing, restaurants/dinner for 3 evenings

To book your yoga retreat, send an email requesting to be added to the TowardYoga mailing list for regular updates and to express your interest in booking the retreat. A non-refundable deposit of £200 is required to secure any retreat place. We will then send you a confirmation email which means your place is secured and you can go ahead and book your flights.

Ts & Cs:

Anyone over the age of 18 can attend the yoga classes. You don’t need prior yoga experience as you will be taught to approach each pose from wherever your starting point is. Experienced yogis will be encouraged to build upon existing knowledge, tune into their body intelligence, deepen their understanding of poses and sequencing, link asana with pranayama, sharpen their focus and improve whole body awareness

Children & partners/friends are very welcome to join you on the yoga holiday (we do ask that you are considerate of other guests with regards to the volume of your children). They can relax whilst you are practising yoga, and in your free time together you can enjoy the swimming pool, beach, cycling in the sunshine, horse-riding, surfing, sight-seeing, a massage, etc. (Deduct £150 from the price if you are not participating in the yoga)

The yoga…It’s your weekend – you are under no pressure, and can practise as much or as little yoga as you wish
